I am primarily a feltmaker and author of books on feltmaking. I create wall pieces and fashion accessories in felt and dyed textiles. I experiment with new directions in feltmaking because feltmaking is so interesting and challenging that it keeps me totally engaged as a medium. I love to figure out new techniques in the process of making felt and then write articles about them so I can explain them to other people. I am driven to help people understand this incredible medium and to keep exploring it myself. For the last 5 years I have been a member of Gallery Calapooia, a cooperative gallery in downtown Albany, Oregon. This has been a wonderful challenge to push me to design accessories in both feltmaking and dyeing so that I can have new products for the gallery.

"Tulip 3" is finished!
I am very happy with the way Tulip 3 came out. Unframed, the piece is 7" x 8". Now I just have to find the right frame for it. I really like the piece. Here is the image without frame.
